Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

The Warner Bros Studio Tour is located in Leavesden, approximately 40kms out of London so we rented a car for the day.

We left our apartment and walked to the car rental depot not too far away.  We left London around 9:30am and headed out towards the Warner Bros. Studio.  As we didn’t have tickets to enter until 1:30pm, we stopped off at a local shopping centre at Watford and had some lunch.

We had 15 minutes left of driving to get to the Warner Bros Studio and the excitement was building as we got closer.  There was a small competition to see who could spot the first sign to Warner Bros Studios.

We finally arrived a little after 1 pm and there was a collective scream in our car.

There are many photos to follow, however in short, we spent over 4 hours at the Studio and it was simply excellent.  There were plenty of interactive displays and activities which the children enjoyed.  All of the props, sets, costumes etc were used in the filming of the Harry Potter movies.  It was also fun to see the all of the techniques they used for the filming.

The Great Hall was a highlight to see it for real (with no roof), as was the final display which was the full scale model of Hogwarts which was used extensively in the filming.

It was thoroughly enjoyed by all including the muggle of the family …. Dad.

Enjoy the photos …
