Our final day in the USA was a more relaxed affair, with a sleep in, some breakfast, some final shopping at Target and Walmart before checking out of our hotel.
We headed up to Main Place Mall in Santa Ana and enjoyed a late lunch at Olive Garden, one of our favourites.
After lunch, we went to Downtown Disney one final time for a quick last shop for some Disney merchandise.
We then tackled with Friday afternoon / evening Los Angeles peak hour traffic to make our way back to LAX to drop our rental car off before catching the bus to the Tom Bradley International terminal.
We are currently sitting in the Qantas First Lounge enjoying some G.H. Mumm champagne, some salt and pepper squid, angus steaks and ice cream, before boarding in around 1.5 hours for our 15+ hour flight back to Melbourne. We are due to arrive back into MEL at 9am local time on Sunday morning.
We have had a great time away in SoCal and feel like we have been here much longer than 10 days. We can’t wait to return again soon ….
